Brown Collection

The Brown Collection is in part an archival collection. Donated to the library by University of Dayton alumnus Jack Brown and his two brothers, this non-circulating collection represents the Brown brothers' interest in Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War, in Civil War military cemeteries and tombstones, as well as in the resting place of prominent Americans. The collection consists chiefly of photographs, books and pamphlets, and miscellaneous documents.

The Brown Collection may be consulted by appointment. Please contact by email Nicoletta Hary, Ph.D., Curator of Rare Books and Special Collections, or at 937-229-4262 (tel.) or 937-229-4590 (fax).
